NOLA Girl is a 501(c)(3) created in 2019 in New Orleans, LA. We are a volunteer group whose mission is to raise money to improve the lives of animals and to foster relationships among no kill animal rescue At present, we raise money to help responsible no kill rescues pay vet bills and cover other needed expenses.
"NOLA Girl Charitable Giving is an amazing organization! We have benefitted from their generosity over the past two years. Without organizations like this we could not continue to provide the much needed care for our animals. We are so grateful that they have joined the ranks of organizations that truly make a difference to animals in our region!"
- Kathy Perra, Executive Director, ARNO
"Zeus' Rescues has been so lucky to have been chosen as one of the organizations that Nola Girl Charitable Giving has supported over the last 3 years! Not only have the donations received from them helped us to pay off our large medical bill, but these donations have also allowed us to save the lives of some more medically needy pets, without putting too much of a strain on our tight budget. Quite simply, Nola Girl Charitable Giving saves lives!"
- Michelle Ingram, Zeus' Rescues
"Take Paws Rescue was recently a grateful recipient of the efforts of NOLA Girl Charitable Giving. As a local non-profit organization, Take Paws is always in need to funds to continue our work saving dogs in the GNO region and from our rural shelters. We appreciate NOLA Girls' support and look forward to to working with them again in the future."
- Teresa Hatfield, Take Paws Rescue
"Our group enjoyed running the 5K Race and we had supporters around the country who joined in on the fun! The Race logo goodie bags were well received and contained a lot of cool gifts. The funds raised on our behalf went a long way toward covering medical expenses for the many intakes we've had so far this year. The number of incoming dogs in 2021 has far surpassed the numbers we had brought in by this time in the past few years. The great majority of our incoming dogs are heartworm positive and intact, often with other complicating medical conditions. In addition to providing complete medical and dental care, we also pay to board our dogs when foster homes are full. The funds that Looziana Basset Rescue received from your charitable event allowed us to keep our doors open to even more intakes. LBR is very grateful to have had this opportunity. Thank you for all you do!"
- Jean Harvill, Looziana Basset Rescue
"As running enthusiasts we have participated in road races for many years. We met JoAnne at a road race several years ago and have gotten to know her. When she produced the first Nola Dogs Race to the Rescue to raise money for animal rescue, we were happy to volunteer for this worthy cause. Having a rescue dog ourselves we understand how important fundraisers are to the community and the cause they support. JoAnne and her dedicated group of volunteers put on a well organized race. It's a wonderful family, pet friendly event and everyone has a great time. JoAnne has worked tirelessly to make this event a success even through the pandemic.
We have continued to volunteer since NOLA Girl Charitable Giving was created. It's impressive how much money this small group of people has raised and donated to animal rescue in such a short time." -Darla and Jim
